– D R E A M E T T E S O F P A U L I N E –
Pauline is a Dream Spirit who unites all religions of
Humankind’s Four Colours. This body of about twenty digital paintings
consists of Pauline and four child faces.
I never know what will evolve – which means when finished, thinking of titles is a monumental problem. Meanwhile in my daily travels on the bus and subway,
when I chatted with someone of another culture I’d ask their name.
If it had a meaning I’d jot it in my notebook.
One day at a 7Eleven convenience store I see an employee and her name tag:
Shabnaham. “Do you mind telling me what your name means and what country you’re from?” At that moment I knew meanings would be image titles.
Shabnaham is Persian and her name means, Morning Dew On A Flower Petal.
It graces one of my images.
The bottom two are what I try and sell when I’m out on the sidewalk.

As you can see there is a similarity between Pauline and Obsidia.
The evolution of one to the next was by my emotional mindspace –
from gentleness of dream-spirit for children, to a considerably darker dystopian
world and warrior. Born from the Occupy Movement, the 1%,
and Corporatism of the Earth Commons.
